Bioelectrical Strategies for image-guided therapies
The Bioelectrical Image Guidance (BIG) Method calculates the absolute position of the ablation catheter tip so that it may be displayed in an anatomically-detailed 3-D image of the surgical area. Such a display is especially appropriate for ablation procedures guided by anatomical landmarks. In addition, the risk of damage to delicate cardiac structures is diminished if the catheter’s position can be accurately visualized.
